However, that’s not the only reason for changing your hot water cylinder. If you find the hot water runs out before the family have finished their ablutions, it may be time for a bigger hot water cylinder that meets the needs of your family.

You may want to swap a traditional cylinder for an unvented cylinder. That means that your hot water tank is fed directly from the mains instead of from a tank in your loft. If you’re thinking of a new central heating system you might want to consider a combination boiler, which means there’s no need for a hot water cylinder at all!
